

An audio part can be opened in the Event List, and selecting another part in the list of parts presented, replaces the part in in the track. It's not at the note level as in DP, rather it shows loop start and end points, and the clip can be renamed. Not sure the purpose of selecting Notes in the Layers popup. Doubling-clicking the clip opens the sub MIDI editor. Recording MIDI produces a clip (region, MIDI container, whatever). So Performer Lite being installed is not conflicting with DP10? DP9 and 10 conflict pretty heavily, 10 takes out 9's ability to host Control surfaces for instance.Doesn't seem to be. I'll be editing this as new things are learned. The MIDI editor exists it seems only as a sub window.

Tabs in the Consolidated window of Lite are gone, replaced with four icons in the Transport to switch between edit windows with the mouse. The Clip view in the Sequence editor introduces region editing of MIDI. Clips have the ability to record into the timeline as well as directly into the Clips themselves. This makes the new velocity meters in the notes actually useful! Also a brand new Velocity tool for directly editing the velocity on the note, or notes! There's a new hand Tool for moving editors around.
